This year. There are 2 classes in Year 4. 4G led by Mr Greet with Mrs Pope as his teaching assistant and 4M led by Mrs Mitchell who has Mrs Bool as her teaching assistant.

Mr. Barter’s Physical Development session

This week’s physical strengthening work is targeting the upper body. Equipment: two cans of beans or likewise.

Round One: 5 press ups         5 shoulder press with beans (lift above your head)          5 lateral raises with beans (straight arms, lift your hands out to the side)  20 punches out (no beans!)

Round Two: 8 press ups         10 shoulder press with beans (lift above your head)          10 lateral raises with beans (straight arms, lift your hands out to the side)  30 punches out (no beans!)

Round Three: 10 press ups         15 shoulder press with beans (lift above your head)          15 lateral raises with beans (straight arms, lift your hands out to the side)  40 punches out (no beans!)

Round Four: 12 press ups         20 shoulder press with beans (lift above your head)          20 lateral raises with beans (straight arms, lift your hands out to the side)  50 punches out (no beans!)

Rest: Rest for 2 minutes between rounds.  When you have completed all four rounds, rest for 3 minutes.  Then repeat the entire sequence another two times.  Focus on the technique! Smooth movements.

Weekly Challenge:  The 30 minute run challenge.  Ask a parent, trusted adult or an older sibling to assist.  Perhaps they could cycle alongside you or run! Set your stopwatch and run for 30 minutes.  How far can you go? Maybe just around your road multiple times, or aim for a certain landmark.  Good luck!
