Help your child in Maths
We hope you are all well.
Here is another website that you may find useful to use with your children. It is from the scheme of work that we use to teach PSHE (Personal Social and Health Education).
Harold is the giraffe mascot that is part of the scheme, and your child/children will be familiar with him from our work in school and from the annual visit that we have from the Life Education Van.
If you go onto the website with your child, Harold will share his daily diary. Each day he will give the children positive, fun messages about what he’s doing to stay happy and healthy while he’s off school, separated from his friends. He’ll invite the children to join in with activities that he’s doing.
Harold will be giving the children ideas for how he – and they – can get a routine going for their day, including the things we all need to do to live a balanced, healthy life. These include:
Taking regular exercise
Connecting with others – in ways that are safe
Mindfulness – learning to enjoy the moment, here and now
We know that having a routine and structure will be very important to all of us at this time. For children in particular, routines help to provide a sense of security that will help a lot at this time of uncertainty.
We hope that Harold and his diary will be helpful!
